Habitat ReStore is closing June 18

Habitat for Humanity of Butte County Sharpens Focus on Affordable Homeownership Opportunities

Habitat’s retail space, the ReStore, is closing June 18 as the organization prioritizes mission growth

CHICO, CA, April 15, 2026 – To focus on its mission of building local affordable homeownership opportunities, Habitat for Humanity of Butte County is closing the ReStore, a retail store that sells new and used home improvement materials and home goods.

The ReStore, located at 220 Meyers St., will continue to operate until June 18, with donations accepted until May 30. The store is currently open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

This transition allows Habitat to fully focus on partnering with local families to build affordable homes. Habitat will continue to build homes in Paradise and Chico, with the goal of building six to ten new homes per year.

Habitat is deeply grateful to its ReStore shoppers, donors, volunteers, and staff. Their support has helped Habitat build homes, strengthen communities, and create homeownership opportunities.
