A hard drive malfunction and I had to toss the script and resort to old school compact discs. So this American Pastimes features lots of old-time standards, Public Domain and traditional songs performed mostly by contemporary artists. If you're familiar with the Harry Smith Anthology of American Folk Music, then you'll recognize many of these tunes as they are performed by Doc Watson, the Highwoods String Band, Old & In the Way and all the usual American Pastimes suspects. (And pay no attention to that mischievous rock music demon that hovered in the studio throughout the broadcast!)
