KZFR 90.1 FM welcomes acclaimed journalist and author Sasha Abramsky for a timely community discussion surrounding his latest book. 

"American Carnage: How Trump, Musk and DOGE Butchered the US Government."

In this new work, Abramsky examines the political, economic, and social forces reshaping American government and public institutions in the Trump era, including the growing influence of billionaire power, privatization, and the restructuring of federal agencies. The evening will feature a presentation and discussion with the author, followed by an audience Q&A.

This free event on Wed, June 3rd 6-7:30pm (doors open at 5pm) is part of KZFR’s ongoing commitment to community dialogue, civic engagement, and public affairs programming. Community members interested in politics, journalism, public policy, and the future of democratic institutions are encouraged to attend.

Bio: Sasha Abramsky is The Nation's Western correspondent and the author of a weekly political column for the magazine. His work has also appeared in The Atlantic, The New Yorker Online, The New Republic, The Village Voice, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and many other publications. He is the author of eleven books, including The American Way of Poverty: How the Other Half Still Lives, The House of Twenty Thousand Books, Little Wonder: The Fabulous Story of Lottie Dod, the World's First Female Sports Superstar, and Chaos Comes Calling: The Battle Against the Far-Right Takeover of Small-Town America. Abramsky teaches writing at UC Davis.
