Wall Fire Emergency Response Fund

The North Valley Community Foundation is collecting donations to support those affected by the Wall Fire that started on Friday near Bangor.

An emergency response fund has been established and donations can be made in person or by mail at: 240 Main Street, Suite 260 Chico, CA 95928

Or online at www.nvcf.org/fund/wall-fire/ . 100% of donated funds will go to aid those directly affected by the Wall Fire.

“Right now hundreds of people are working around-the-clock to aid individuals, families and animals caught in the middle of the Wall Fire. One hundred percent (100%) of the monies raised will go toward supporting the organizations on the ground. We deeply value their work, and cherish the role they play in caring for our brothers and sisters during this time of need." - Alexa Benson-Valavanis, President and CEO of the North Valley Community Foundation.

The Wall Fire has forced the evacuations of thousands of people and has burned more than 5,600 acres in southern Butte County, as of this morning. At least 17 structures have been destroyed and the fire is not expected to be contained until July 15.

The North Valley Community Foundation establishes emergency response funds for local crises to support the affected populations. During the Oroville spillway evacuation, the foundation raised $22,865, which was primarily used to financially support shelters that were not already being supported by the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
