KZFR's Bill Mash Named Local Hero

Every year, the Chico News & Review shines a spotlight on a handful of local heroes, people who go above and beyond as volunteers for causes that help our community.

KZFR Programmer Host of Without a Roof, Bill Mash was among this years list of local heroes and it is a well deserved honor!

CN&R's Jason Cassidy writes of Bill...

"At its best, the Chico community is both caring and fun-loving. That could reasonably describe our city’s so-called “vibe.” And Bill Mash is the embodiment of that, equally tireless in advocating for those who are homeless in Chico as he is in supporting and promoting the local music and arts scenes."

We're proud to count Bill as part of the KZFR Family and pleased he was honored for his work in the community. Read the whole article by clicking here.

Youth members of the Boys & Girls Club of the North Valley recently toured the station. Our GM gave them a behind the scenes look at an independent, nonprofit community radio station. Your group could too!
