AMERICAN TOTEM seeks to reframe the debate as it is currently asking the wrong questions. In an attempt to reduce gun-related deaths, the film takes a more nuanced approach in the context of recent social, economic and political changes. The film also explores the American narrative, its origins, and the search for community during uncertain times.
